The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

Within a few weeks we will have the privilege to enjoy Apple's 2nd generation iPone with added bonuses such as 3G and GPS capabilities. Not to mention the choice between a black and a white model. Apple also announced more applications for the iPhone from games to tools and even blogging.

But the most interesting thing about the next generation iPhone is not it's new features but it's featured price tag. At $199 a pop for the 8 GB model, this baby is 1/3 cheaper that it's 1st generation brother with added features. For those of who thought this great "I wish I had one" electronic beauty was out of your reach, unless you have bad credit and are willing to fork out the deposit required by AT&T to get service from them or you can find a way to hack this sucker to use it on another carrier, the iPhone at this price may give you a chance to walk around and be cool like evryone else who paid a fortune for the same gadget with less features. See, good things come to those who wait.

I wish I could buy one, but AT&T keeps telling me I should consider putting $1000 deposit for their sevice. I tell them they should consider jumping off a cliff. I guess for now the iPhone is out of my financial reach, even with the lowered price. I still have hope, this is the US after all.

iPhone is coming out in Japan in mid-July and will be starting with the second generation model.  I'm curious about what kind of service plan but haven't seen details yet.

A $1000 deposit seems insane!

Tell me about it, thats what AT&T would tell me due to my bad credit, before they merged with Cingular. To be honest, not sure about now.
