The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

I was once fortunate enough to own a 2nd or 3rd generation iPod Touch (can't remember which one) but lost it due to financial issues a while back. A few months ago I was able to acquire a 1st generation iPod and so far, apart from some missing features that I wish I had, this iPod has served it's purpose very well.

Still, I can't help but wonder how, for as long as the iPod has been around and the number of updates done to it, does the iPod interface when playing music suck? My complaint is specific to the interface you get when playing music and you turn the iPod sideways (see imagine below).

This interface not only does not have the ability to change the volume of the music (if you have a 1st generation iPod like me with no volume buttons on the side of it), does not show you the current playlist you are listening to and worst of all, doesn't even have the next or previous button to change songs. I'm sure you're thinking "why don't I just go to the other interface where all these actions can be found?" and I would agree, but then what's the point of the other interface other than to display the album images? What's most annoying about that interface is not being able to disable it, to stop the iPod from switching to it everytime the iPod leans sideways even by a little bit. I don't know about 2nd or 3rd generation models but to add insult to injury my iPod also tends to get stuck on the interface without the option to return to the main music interface without closing the music player and reopening it.

Has anyone ever heard or had this complaint? Is there a solution I am unaware of? Does that paid upgrade for iPods provide fix to this perhaps? If I could at least disable it I would be the happiest person in the world. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

So no one else has this problem or thinks this is a problem? Anyone?
