The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

A while back, I was excited that a new Call of Duty game was coming soon. Modern Warfare 2. After reading reviews on the game I found out the game was not gonna be as good as I hoped (see my own opinion on the game here). Suffice it to say I was not happy with some of the features the game was lacking. I eventually bought the game as many of my friends (mostly my brothers and sisters in my gaming clan) were playing it and I felt left out. I can't deny that I like the game a lot but am still disappointed in the features it lacks as my article points out. I still hold hopes for this to be changed.

Anyways, after this disappointing finding I came across another FPS game coming out, Battlefield: Bad Company 2. From the videos I saw the game looked good and it seemed to play just like Call of Duty. Some of my friend considered getting it and even my clan leaders were considering a dedicated server for the game so I pre-ordered mine. After the pre-order I was given access to the BETA version of the game and to be honest I found it interesting. It was definitely different from the Call of Duty series and the game seemed to be a bit more rougher in it's controls but I was intrigued to play the full version.

I finally got my chance to play it on March 3rd as I had forgotten it was to be released the day before and had to wait for it to install overnight. The single player was very interesting although like the BETA it was not as smooth a game play as Call of Duty. It was a tad bit harder to move around but I'm sure that will get better as I get use to this game. Call of Duty was no piece of cake when I played it the first time either.

Now, as IslandDog inquired in his article How Are You Enjoying Battlefield Bad Company 2?, I decided to leave the single payer mode for later and give the multiplayer a try. I was really looking forward to posting some video of my own gameplay on my own article but instead I was left having to post this bad review and posting a video showing why this is a bad review of the game at this point.

It's a short video but it basically shows what happens every time I try to play the multiplayer game. Of course it took about 6 or 7 tries while I was trying to record this video before I, somehow, got into one server. But that surprise and exciting connection was eventually shot down when 15 seconds later I was kicked by PunkBuster, yet another problem BFBC2 is having as well.

I find myself wanting to get my money back at this point but am not sure if I can. I am giving EA some time to fix this as a scrolling msg in the game indicates they know there is a problem and supposely are working to fix it. So far it's been 3 days and I have yet to play the multiplayer. This does not bold well for future purchases from EA or even Steam as that is where I got the game from.

As for single player, for now I give it 4 out of 5 Stars:

For the Multiplayer I give it 1 out of 5 for not being able to play it although I was able to try out the BETA and did like it:

I have yet to battle anyone in multiplayer but I am battling to eithe play multiplayer for get my money back hence the "battle before the battle" title. Why can't we simply get a working game when we buy it? It's a shame consumers have become guinea pigs for testing problems in games and paying for it as oppose to gettng paid for testing a game even though it's not in test mode anymore.
