Bush to blame?

Sad to say that a great hero of this country has passed away after battling the forces of cancer. I speak of Jack the Black Labrador who helped find survivors of the Twin Towers collapsed on 9/11 and Katrina Victims in New Orleans. The poor dog was put to sleep on Wednesday when the owner could no longer handle the suffering of the dog. My heart goes out to the owner, God bless this great animal who risked his life to save those not of his own race. We, as humans, should take this dog as an example of how we should be doing more to save lives. May he rest in peace.

But I am sad to say that while Jack the Black Labrador, hero to many, is resting, the Democrats on the other hand are in full gear. I was amazed to be browsing thru the website Democratic Underground to find an article talking about the hero dog (no not a sandwich with hotdogs in it) and thru all the sad replies and praises to the dog I found a couple of people who (like the resident troll) could not resist to somehow involve Bush in the death of the dog. Somehow one person determined the dog had accomplished more than the President of the US had and that we would have been better off with the dog as President. I guess he must have been a bigger hero than the dog since he did not compare the dog to how little he’s probably done to save lives in this country. Then we had another person who, somehow (go figure how she came to this conclusion) blamed Bush for the dogs death. That Bush did not do enough to give the dog (a first responder as she called him) the help he needed. OK, what could Bush had done to save the dog again? So now it’s the Presidents job to make sure animals have proper healthcare benefits as well. It seems people believe that the position of the President of the US is the almighty savior of this great nation; that his powers extend to saving people and animals from death.

For crying out loud the dog was put down for suffering from a problem caused by doing his job. Would it have been Bush’s fault if the dog died due to searching for survivors of an earthquake? Or is Bush responsible as well for not preventing earthquakes or not giving more money to building owners to make the building earthquake proof? This is ridiculous and sad that even during the death of a celebrated hero people have politicize things just to stick it to Bush. Especially Democrats.

Come on Democrats of JU, is this really necessary? Do you truly believe these people are justified in making these comments? If you truly believe Bush to be idiotic and doing a good job at showing it on a daily basis, is it really necessary to use the death of a dog considered a hero to bash Bush even more than you already do?

Don’t ask for a link because I don’t believe this article deserves a direct link to it. If you want do the search yourself. You know where to find it. Disgusting, even if it was from a Republican site I would still find it sad and disgusting.

Just think what those loons are going to be doing in 2 years should a democrat win the whitehouse. Matthew Marren is going to have a lot of company as the frustrated loons are given power - and still cant get off the pot.

I do wonder, if the Democrats win the Presidency and take over the Senate while still having control of Congress, will DU, the mainstream media and our beloved Col gene still have something left to do and honorably criticize the Democrats in the same manner every time they foul up or will they disappear like the Lockness Monster?
