The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

Well I know some will point out that it has not been a week since I was gone as I said. I was really speaking of the week days. Especially this week when I was training for my new job. It was an interesting, no wait, a great week. I will admit my vacation away from JU was not 100% away. I did come around from time to time and looked at some of the articles and responses. But it was kinda nice to let my mine clear a bit from all the constant debating and arguing around here.

Although my official first day was 2 weeks ago, I began my training this week. It was great, I learned a lot and I’m loving it. The people from the Dept are great, nice and a terrific team. They have accepted me in with open arms. Now that I’m working in the Accounting Dept I have more respect and get to enjoy all the benefits of the Dept such as all the incentives they give for doing a good job. I finally got the job of my dreams and now all I have to do is work harder and go to school (which the company will pay for) and continue on my way up in the company. They even made a pizza party to welcome me in and congratulate me for the position. Finally all the hard work and patience paid off.

During my time off I had a lot of time to think and get my mind together. I am in the process of getting ready to move from this apartment in the hopes of improving things. I am working hard on fixing my credit and learning to manage my money better. Sorry to say not all things have gone well. My truck broke down and now I have to sell it cause I can’t afford to fix it. I’m sure someone looking for a cheap vehicle and eager to fix it will find it appealing. I can’t expect to get much from it so I won’t. This will encourage me to get a better car next time.

I also found myself inspired to write a few article while I was off. Some from things I have read on the internet and some from articles and replies from JU as I browsed around. I will post them little by little so that I don’t have to keep track of so many articles at one time. I have also done some soul searching and decided that my way of thinking and seeing things had to change. It will take some time to adjust to the changes but I see it as beneficial for my future and that of my family. Well let’s get started, I missed picking on the resident troll or “the old clueless one” as some call him here.

LOL, yea I have a bit of internet addiction. Nothing serious, I simply like hanging around JU. I found something interesting in an otherwise dull life. I enjoy my time with my family but my personal time is dim, not much to do since I have no friends to hang out with. Even if I was just lurking around as oppose to being away from it, I was around only once in a while as oppose to keeping an eye on the site all day like I was before.

Nice to see your welcome backs are just as colorful as your go to hells, lol. I have several problems, who doesn't? But I'm not letting them take over or ruin my life. I know better. You may see it as a problem but then that's the great thing about this country and life for that matter, we can all believe what we want.

Friends? Pah.

I have some friends, but my personal time is non-existant.

Maybe if you spent less time on the 'net you'd engage in activities where you might make some friends?

My thing with the net started about 5 years ago. Before then I had already tried some of the suggestions you offered, which BTW thank you for offering. I tried the bowling thing but it always lead to the same thing as many other things I avoid, everyone drinks alcohol and I'm not much of a drinker. I will have a beer on special occasions but not during an outing such as bowling or hanging out. I usually drink soda and it has caused me to be excluded from groups. It even happened with my brother, they called me a beer warmer cause the beer would get cold before I got half way on it. And was made fun of often by many for drinking soda where everyone else drank beer. I will be going to college hopefully next year so that could work. The pool, darks and stuff all lead to the same problem as the bowling. I have already been thru this before. Even during my 5 years of being online. I do get out from time to time with my family, but alone just doesn't work for me. Alcohol will always be the option for having fun and it always ends up leaving me out once I refuse to drink.

The political thing is actually tempting, I did join JU to learn more about it and have learned a lot since I joined. That may not be such a bad thing. Karaoke? Not likely, I love singing but only to myself. I am very shy around crowds.

It's not easy to mingle when you're a shy, non-drinking, do-like-crowds, geek like me. It's just who I am and not something widely accepted by everyone. I would much rather be home watching TV, playing on my PC and/or playing with my kids and/or wife. If you are suggesting that this is a bad thing, I don't see it that way. Considering that the chances of something bad can happen to me inside as much as outside, I feel better indoors. Not everyone was meant to be out there. My world is not coming to an end for lack of friends, my wife has her few friends which I kinda like my friends. But as I said I much rather be home or go out with my family.

So you're joining the Green Party?

Not in this lifetime. I may want to make a difference for my country, but I'm not that obsessed.

Libertarian Party - We Party - Liberally.
on Aug 20, 2007
Well, according to LP.org:

What is a Libertarian?

Let's start with Webster's definition:

Libertarian: A person who upholds the principles of individual liberty especially of thought and action. Capitalized: a member of a political party advocating libertarian principles.

Libertarians believe in, and pursue, personal freedom while maintaining personal responsibility. The Libertarian Party itself serves a much larger pro-liberty community with the specific mission of electing Libertarians to public office.

Libertarians strongly oppose any government interfering in their personal, family and business decisions. Essentially, we believe all Americans should be free to live their lives and pursue their interests as they see fit as long as they do no harm to another.

In a nutshell, we are advocates for a smaller government, lower taxes and more freedom.
