The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

Well I have finally achieved that which I thought was beyond my reach. For some time I have been working hard to fix my credit that I ruined when I was a teen. While I still have a long road ahead, I am finally showing the fruits of my labor. A few months ago I was approved for a small loan that helped me repair my wife's '94 Ford Explorer which had landed in the shop for some major repairs, repairs I could not afford. The approval of this loan gave me my first step in restoring my long lasting bad credit.

As time went by I tried hard to find ways to make more money in a time when the country's economy is like a roller coaster and the average American is convinced there are no decent paying jobs out there. My hard work and persistence eventually landed me the permanent job that I worked as a temp and within 6 months I was promoted to the Accounting Dept. How's that for a lack of good jobs in this country? Anyways, I have been working harder ever since and earning my place in the Dept and now my hard work is finally paying off like I never thought it would.

Here is the fruit of my hard labor:

Say hello to my new gas economical 2007 Chevy Cobalt. For the first time in my life I finally got myself a new car and what a time to get it, when gas prices are rising faster than Congress' approval rating. I got rid of my wife's gas guzzling Ford Explorer which was costing me over $80 a week on gas and changed it for this $40 a week, smooth driving, nice acceleration, great sound system (truck speakers were burnt out), great car. Not to mention how my credit score will begin to rise as I make payments, fixing my credit even more.

Doesn't it look great? I would have preferred it in red but couldn't find one. Now all I need is a part time and I'll be doing fine this Xmas. Hopefully my current boss can come thru with a part-time from an old job of his.

The irony of credit.  Those who dont need it, can get it anytime.  Those who do need it, find it hard to get.

Tell me about it. But, that's what happens when an 18 year old gets his first 3 store credit cards and is ignorant to the domino effect it will cause once you use them and don't pay them. The saddest part is that my credit was not horrifying, as a matter of fact from my first job in KFC at 19 to my current job at Rinker, I could have easily fixed my credit and have, probably, great credit and maybe even a better lifestyle. But I was just too stupid, ignorant and my wants were more important than my needs back then.

You live and you learn. Now if we can only get the average American to add "and you learn" to their daily lives, things could probably be much better these days.

I don't really appreciate cars as anything more than transportation, but I was so psyched when I got approved for my mortgage.. congratulations!

Oh, this point in my life deserves an article on a blog, the day I get a house will be cause for a party. When you've been working hard and not being able to afford anything more than a car that could get you from point A to point B while stopping at each mechanic along the way, a new car is like coming home from a long day of work, zero lunch and finding all your favorite dishes on the table, nice and warm, just waiting for you to come home.
