The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

Well, not according to foxnews.com where an article clearly states the Senate approved the stimulus bill and the GOP agreed to give checks to those who made less than $3000 and veterans. Strange, I was told the GOP and Bush didn't care about the poor and the veterans, yet there is the bill passed by the Senate and ready for Bush which he said he would. I guess someone on this site will have to remove his articles that he claimed were "The Truth".

Since he felt he needed to infest the site with one article after another, I expect a retraction article. I believe he owns Bush and the GOP an apology. I am also thankful the Democrats finally saw the light and decided to stop the BS and pass the damn bill without all the pork they were trying to add. I applaud the Democrats, well maybe just 1 clap.

Especially since he feels the budget is so horribly out of whack. Maybe he will return his check to help the nation's fiscal soundness.

Oh...is Bush finally getting something done?  Wow, and it only took 7 years.

2001, 03 - Tax Cut
Invasion of Afghanistan
Invasion of Iraq
NCLB
Pills for Retirees
Justice JOhn Roberts
Justice Smauel Alito
2008 Tax Rebate

And on and on and on.  He has done quite a bit.  Just not things you like, or think are important (which is the same with me).  Personally, I think he has done too much.  And that is why this year's budget request is 3.1 Trillion dollars.

Well I hate to nitpick but it's a $300 rebate for those who made at least $3,000 including from social security payments.  It is for disabled veterans, not all veterans.  I am sure other veterans will qualify because of their income levels.

I'm always curious why people always do that which they hate.

So what's your point about the $300? So if they don't get anything, it's bad and if they do it's not enough? I don't get it? Besides, I'm am very curious to know who earns $3000 a year and still survives? I mean even at minimum wage you still make about $10,000 a year or even $5000 if part time. I just don't understand Democrats and I probably never will.

That's 3,000 taxable income. Which is far different than $3,000 of income.

Well you just put under $3000 but it's people who make at least $3000 and I think mainly it is people receiving social security disability benefits.

Sorry, bad habits. Didn't mean the word under to be there. Still what's your point. You seem to think this money was meant to help the American peoples pockets when it was meant to stimulate the economy so that later it can help the American peoples pockets.

Am I understanding this wrong? Is the purpose of the stimulus package to pump more money into the economy to stimulate it and not necessarily to give money to people who need it? I mean I see this as trying to get the economy going again by giving people spending money, not giving people money because they need it. Am I understanding this wrong?

Nope, you're right. That's why we shouldn't give "rich people" a tax break.   I am now ducking and running for cover even though I left the same comment on Jill's Joy Behar thread.
