(Don't take the title too literally, I don't think Democrats are related to the Devil, but they come pretty close.)
Every since I decided I needed a new vehicle I knew a second job wouldn't be too far behind. I started working for a guy who has a valet parking business and I have to say it's been great. I get to drive incredible cars like Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, Bentley and Cadillacs. Pay is pretty decent too for the hours I work which average 3 hours.
Well tonight I had a job at a political event. I joked around with my boss about how I wanted to know if it was a Democratic or Republican event, it's kinda ironic that it happened to be a Democratic event. Oh well, I do it for the money anyway's. But things got interesting as the night progressed, things that made me question the values Democrats claim to hold so high.
Fighting for the little guy.
Democrats claim to fight for the little guy, you know the poor people. The ones who have menial jobs and don't make enough money to have a "decent" life. Their solution is to throw free money at these people, money taken from hard working Americans. Well, I have to wonder just how much they care for us little guys that they barely gave more than a $1 tip after we parked their cars, in some cases, on the next street. Did I mention we were standing outside where the temp was around 60C degrees? I guess they were running low on tax payers money tonight. Maybe it was because we were regular guys who didn't give them any attention. Oh yea I forgot to mention this was a gay/lesbian/transgender Democratic political event for the local commissioner with members of the Gay American Hero's Foundation.
The people matter
One of the cars I parked had an interesting bumper sticker on it. It said "make your vote count". Both Democratic candidates spend a lot of time telling people to make their vote count by voting for them yet the Democrats decided to break their own rules and moved the Florida Primaries date up and losing the delegates in Florida. Now because the race is so tight between Obama and Hillary, the Hillary campaign is calling foul on the Florida elections and want to redo the voting. I guess the Democrats didn't care as much about the people as they made it seem and now they want them to take time out of their busy lives to redo an election they screwed up. If I was a Democrat I would be very insulted that they didn't care about my vote the first time and would refuse to vote again.
More money for the average Joe
Raising taxes is the Democrats favorite game, but it seems it's not only for the little guy. One lady drove up a in Jaguar and just as she gets out of the car one of her friends makes the joke that she need to be careful with that car and the neighborhood they were in (the neighborhood seemed fine to me, not sure why he would say that). That's when she said "this car is paid for, I'll just get another one". I can't help but wonder why she said that. Tax payers money perhaps? I doubt people who work for their money would be so careless about the things they purchase.
Hypocrisy filled the air as Democrats proved to me they are anything but that which they claim to be. But that's OK, they can keep their money and that of those they forcefully take from, so long as they let me keep mine.
