While browsing thru the Satellite channels today I came across a movie I had not seen in years. Air Force One with Harrison Ford. he's one of my favorite actors. I love all the Indiana Jones movies and I'm a big fan of Han Solo and his Millennium Falcon. As I watched how the President of the US (Harrison Ford) found himself in the middle of a hijacking of Air Force One and fought his way thru the terrorist to save is family and the rest of the passengers, I found myself wondering (as a joke) if President Bush would do the same. I couldn't help but laugh at the idea of Bush running thru the multiple tunnels and door panels of the playing trying to be a hero. The idea alone makes my stomach hurt of so much laughter.

I then found myself wondering if by any change the next President found themselves in a similar kind of situation, would Hillary Obama or McCain have what it takes to deal with such a situation? Would they jump ship and leave everyone else to their demise just because he/she is the President and they are priority as the movie seemed to portray? I wonder how would they deal with a situation like this if their family was on the line. I have to believe that because we have such high priority over the President of this country, with so much surveillance, so much scrutiny, so much security that someone like Bush, Obama, Hillary or McCain would probably be too confident that nothing could ever happen to them and when push came to shove the pressure of a situation they were not prepared to handle would cripple them.

I know it's not fair to compare these people to someone like Harrison Ford in a movie created to make the President a hero, but I can't help wonder how they would react in a situation where their lives and those of the people with them were put in direct danger but terrorist who managed to get that close to them.
