The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.
Not a bad movie after all
Published on June 20, 2008 By CharlesCS In Entertainment
Well, I have to say I was not disappointed by the latest Marvel movie to hit the big screen. Considering I had seen the previous version of the is movie "The Hulk" and while I liked it, I believe the graphics could have used some more work. "The Incredible Hulk" however was a bit more realistic, as realistic as one can be now a days. I still have issues with Edward Norton playing the role of Bruce Banner, I just think he was too wimpy, too scrawny looking, didn't have that scientist, geek look to him. But he still played a decent role. But Liv Tyler, OMG, that woman is so sexy I would turn into the Hulk for her too.

All in all the movie plot was not too bad, the bad guy was pretty scary but I always find it interesting how the bad guy, being bigger, stronger and smarter, always loses to the smaller good guy (even though the Hulk is seen as the bad guy). My article is short cause I would like to avoid giving too much away from the movie, but 1 thing I would like to say about the ending of the movie that I liked and am sure is trying to point to something else. At the end the Colonel gets a visit from none other than Ironman himself, Tony Stark ( Robert Downey Jr.). For those of you familiar with Marvel's comics and or cartoons, one can only speculate that this may actually be a lead towards other movies relating to other Marvel superheros but more than anything, a movie about many superheros. I am talking about a possible "Avengers" movie (have not checked the Internet for this movie in the works so I am talking from ignorance about this).

The Avengers, a group of heroes, like DC Comics Justice League, who unite to fight crime together. The group composed of Ironman, The Hulk, Captain America (possible movie), Thor (that would be a good movie) and Wasp, plus a few others. Now that would be a great movie. To follow will be an article with a list of Marvel Characters I would like to see movies about and who we think could play the part.

One can only hope.

I thought the first one was kind of cheesy - graphics wise. My son was raving about this one, and how much better it would be. It was for the most part. But in this day and age of CAG, I was disappointed that some of them still looked like they came from a 90s video game.

They're talking Avengers movie.  2011 or 2012, after a Captain America movie and at least one more Iron Man and Hulk.

I agree with the graphics, even this movie could have been better, but I still think it was pretty good. The real problem is people have the tendency of going to a movie such as this one, where the character is likely to be animated, already looking for flaws and you know what they say about if you look hard enough? I watched it in the hopes of it being good and was not totally disappointed.

So many possibilities, I truly wanna see Captain America and would like to see a movie about Thor. I have seen the recent animated movies of the Avengers and thought they were really good. They made Thor look awesome in those movies. They are called Ultimate Avengers 1 and 2, check it out if you havent.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably see them eventually. I've never been a huge Cap America fan, and I think Thor is a loser, but the Avengers were always cool.

I'm just waiting for a She-Hulk movie.

My son ruined it for me. If I was just going to see "another" movie without the hype, I probably would not have even noticed it.

Hmm, where have I seen her? I think I saw a cartoon where there was a Grey Hulk that was smart and a she-hulk, together with, I guess Betty they were looking for Bruce to help him. But I never saw much of it.

I did play the game based on the first movie and I thought it was fun smashing things around.

Hmmmm, well that would be weird, because Bruce IS the Grey Hulk (otherwise known as 'Joe Fixit'). But maybe they twisted up the mythos for a television show.

All I know is She-Hulk is super hot (I mean, 8-foot tall green goddess, man), super smart (she's a lawyer - even when she's She-Hulk, because she doesn't go all dumb like her cousin does), and just kewl. She's always been one of my favorites.

I didn't know that. Like I said, am not really sure about that episode I saw, I only caught part of it and never seen it again. Wonder if youtube may have something on it?

This was just a test post, please disregard.

Adrian wants to take the boys to see The Incredible Hulk, but we recently all went to see Kung Fu Panda, so we are trying to wait a little bit. Otherwise we'd be at the movies spending $40+ every week! LOL. And eating Ramen Noodles for every meal.

I liked The Hulk, but this new one doesn't interest me much. I agree about Edward Norton, although Adrian insists that he's *supposed* to look scrawny when he's not hulked out. I just don't think he seems right for the part.

I agree about Liv Tyler. I LOVE her! She is gorgeous!

The boys (all 3 of them) are psyched about the possibility of an Avengers movie.

Do you think The Incredible Hulk was good enough to make it worth loading up and heading to the theater or should we save money and catch it on Netflix later?

I know what you mean. I have my means and friends to help save. Drive in theater at $5 a head is great, especially when you can bring your own food and Little Ceasers Pizza at $5 for a large cheese or peperoni is a great saver. That and I won't deny catching one of those versions we are not suppose to have, if you know what I mean.

He is suppose to look scrawny, but this guy looked a tab bit too cool, Banner is suppose to be a geek. But he still played a good role.

I loved her in Lord of the Rings and Armageddon. She is beautifully divine.

They got good taste.

Depending on your taste, yea I believe it was worth it. I definitely think it was better than the first version. It would seem Hollywood finally realized they were not making really good cartoon to movie movies so they started to do it better since the Xmen movies. I have high hopes for the next Ironman and Hulk. It will be interesting to see an Ironman arch enemy on the big screen but I think I already know who will Hulk face next. There is one short, very short, sceeen in the movie that for those who know the cartoon wil see it and know what may happen next time. They key word will be "Mr Blue".

Two words: Empire Records.

Go watch it. Now.

I'll wait.

You know. Have not seen that movie yet. Will look for it.

It's when, all those years ago, I fell in love with Liv Tyler.

That, and it's a pretty great movie about culture in the mid nineties.
