As a minority Hispanic, in a way I am happy our country has shown it can look past the color of a man’s skin and elect him for President, while a woman did not win, we also proved a woman can also stand side by side with the boys and fight to lead our country. Now that we have our first Black President I have wondered if this will somehow bring down some of the racial walls that still exist in this country. But I also can’t help but think it’s a shame we needed to vote in a Minority in this country in order to prove we can look past racial differences.

I think it’s time to start making more of a difference and not expect the Gov’t to make the changes for us. I invite you to be a character and pledge to help change things for the better.
