The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

There's an old saying "Desperate times call for desperate measures".

That saying is weighing heavily on many today. Lots of people without work, other spending less and saving more. Now a days making a buck is not as easy as it use to be. But there are some out there that are not letting this economic problem stop them from finding ways to make a buck.

I have seen many smart ideas to make some extra money on the side. Everything from pet care, pet grooming, furniture movers, mobile car wash and child care signs hanging all over the apartment complex. But I found what I thought was the most interesting service offer I had seen yet, from someone who I can't help but think that old saying is what drives his idea. The small flyer we found hanging on our door said the following:

Concierge Trash Service

My name is **** and I am trying

to earn extra money for my

family and would like to pick your

trash up for you. I am asking for a

small fee of $5.00 a week and I

will come 5 days of the week,

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,

Friday and Saturday. I will come

at 7am on these mornings to pick

up your trash for you so you

don't have to it to the

dumpster anymore. If you are

interested in my services please

give me a call my number is ***-

***-**** and I will come pick up

your payment and service will

begin immediately. Thank you.

I'm not so sure I would offer to do such a service, especially when I live in a pretty luxurious apartment complex; it would suggest I make a decent living. But I think it's a very ingenius idea though. I, however, can't imagine who would pay for this service where I live. I mean, the garbage bin in only about 15 yards from my front door, I could almost throw the garbage bag into the bin if I took 5 or 6 steps away from my door. Besides, I have a 10 year old who already gets paid to throw out the garbage. I'm sure he will find a few people who will consider this service. 15 people would easily yield $75 a week, that groceries, gas or an electrical bill payment right there. This idea is motivating me to to find a simply service that I could charge a small fee and with enough clients, I could make good money.

Now that is what you call "The American Dream".

What do you think? Smart idea? Crazy? Would you offer such a service? What would you do to make a buck?

I think I'd rather run a home condom delivery service or drive drunks home from bars. At least it'd make for some interesting stories.

I've heard of the drive drunks home idea before though as a drunk you have to wonder if you are willing to put your life in some strangers hands and how do you know how much you paid the driver?

The condom idea? Seems interesting, but unusual. Makes sense.
