A little help for those going thru these tough times

I have a co-worker who is a very nice lady who calls often the customer hotline needing help with invoices and stuff. She likes getting me on the phone because I can be very efficient and quick. She's a very nice lady.

Well today she sent me an email with some information that I would like to share with you. I think it's a great idea and plan of trying it out myself.

OK - I know some of you are having financial difficulties or you know someone who is. I want to tell you about a ministry that my husband & I head in our Church. Now I know you can't all can't come to our church to get it, but you can go to the web site and find a site near you. I have attached the web address and I have also attached a sample menu for April for you to take a look at to see if you think you might be interested. Please let me know and I will assist you any way possible even if you don't live here in SC. The ministry is called Angel Food and the web site is www.angelfoodministries.com. You can look at the menu, find a site near you etc.... Please if you can't use it yourself please pass the information on. There are so many who are out of work and need assistance.

That's the site where you can find info on the concept and locations that might be close to you or how to order online. This seems like a great idea; that's a decent amount of food for such a low price. I hope this info can make it to someone who can find it useful. Spread the word.

Well, it's an interesting story (and I appreciate you point it out) but if we gonna criticize an institution due to a report that gives little if any details except "the Fed are investigating", then we would have to do the same for most institutions around the country. I won't dismiss this story but unless something comes out that shows some kind of fraud, law broken or some major abuse, I still think this is a great idea.

Maybe we can hope nothing bad is really happening. Still, thanks for the link.

Reading comprehension not your strong suit? The heads of the 'Ministry' were making $70k-$90k in 2005 and over a half milion the next year. That may not be why the feds are investigating but they do need to look at it. That is a very nice pay raise.
