The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

I'm confused. I thought Barack Obama was the President of the US, but from some of the comments I have seen on some of JU's political articles lately, I get this crazy idea that the President of the US is currently John McCain. Why do I say that? Simple.

During his Presidential campaign, Obama promissed a transparent Gov't, he promissed change and he promised to stop business as usual in our Gov't. As far as many were concerned, Obama was to eliminate everything that made our Gov't corrupt; yet time and again Obama does something that when the Media or a blogger makes comments on it, someone will claim Bush did the same or worse. I would post example, but we all know what I am talking about.

So... how come Obama was able to convince people that voting for McCain would be 4 more years of Bush yet here we have people admitting Obama is immitating Bush and somehow it's OK for Obama to do what Bush did, well, because he's Obama? Does this mean Bush was doing a better job as President than many were lead to believe? Or does this mean that Obama is just another politician who also promised the world just to win an election and change was but a political tactic?

I see change in the future. Because that is all that will be left at Fort Knox, change.

When people tell me how much better Obama is than Bush was, I ask them one of the following questions...

~How's the withdrawal from Iraq going?

~How many Constitutional rights did Obama say the detainees taken in Afghanistan have?  Oh yeah... none.

~Good thing Mr. Articulate doesn't embarrass himself while speaking.

~How many "boneheaded" things did Obama do this week?

and my favorite...

~Remind me, when is the transparency supposed to start?

I like that list. Kinda reminds me of the Hannity Show I listen to on the radio. Everytime he gets someone on the line who is trying to defend or excuse some of Obama's actions, he hits them with similar questions. What I love most is how most of the callers will agree with him but they will always have a "but" in there to contradict what they just agreed with. Usually the "but" tends to be a "hope that Obama will do it better" response. As if repeating the same wrong action will somehow yield different results.

All politicians are frauds.  It's what makes them good at what they do.

So here's a thought... why don't we stop voting for both the Republicans, and the Democrats.  They are both corrupt, and have their own agendas that do nothing for the American people.

But no... instead the conservatives will blame everything on the liberals, and the liberals will blame everything on the conservatives, and in the meantime our country disintigrates.

It's a game the American government has forced it's citizens to play for far too long, while they do everything they can to make themselves more powerful.

So similar to Einstein's definition of insanity: "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

While I wasn't a fan of his, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I've been pretty disappointed with him to say the least; seems like he's just another typical politician.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

You remember when you were kidding me a while back about agreeing with you on things frequently? Well...with this...you're right. It is a game. One that I don't personally see ending any time soon.

It's a friggin joke.

claiming all politicians are frauds might hold a kernel of truth, but obama is certainly worse than some of those other politicians.

There are!? Wow, where? Actually yeah, thankfully Oregon has quite a few, in my opinion.

the ironic thing is, Mccain had to say "I am not bush" to accusation from OBAMA of 4 years of the same...

Yea, they just not dumb enough to make themselves noticed.

Mhmm, like Wyden, Merkeley, DeFazio, Wu, and Walden. All good guys, though Wyden did open his mouth recently.
