The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

OK, MJ was a great artist, the man could sing, the man could dance, the man could rock any stage he got on and any music video he made. The man was able to do what very few 80's or 70's artist were able to accomplish; continue to be a sensation, a must see, a big ticket decade after decade.

But I think our love for this artist populatiry is being atken too far and by who other than Al Sharpton. I mean come on, does every Black person that accomplishes something good need to have postage stamps, National Days and every mistake forgiven just because he/she's Black? For crying out loud MJ was just another person, he was no better than any other person on Earth, he was no God and to be honest I am not to thrilled with making so many honors to a person who was weirder in so many ways than Ben Stein. MJ had way too many issues that were never made clear; he lived a secluded life, a drug filled life, a life worthy of a Twilight Zone episode. Come on people, we have more important things to worry about these days; the economy, jobs, Obama (oops).

I am sadden by his early death, I am a big fan of his 80's music, his music videos and his dancing; but even I can admit that it's time to move on. Rest in peace MJ and shut the hell up already Sharpton.

Another interesting aside... Would this man be as popular if he didn't make so much money? It seem to me many of the people pouring adulation on him are the same ones that are crying about the privileged wealthy not paying their share. Or is that angst just for rich "white" people?

Jackson was very talented, nobody can take that away from him. But if his story should tell anything, it's that no amount of money, fame, or adulation can make you happy, to like yourself or make smart choices. His life is a tragedy, no happy ending. This man should have sought help 20 years ago, and the people around him just indulged him, to line their own pockets.

Go ahead celebrate the mans accomplishments, but weeks of end to end coverage is ridiculous. It turns out in the end his death has become the same garish tabloid trash that his life became. If this is the black communities "Hero" I'd like to see their anti-hero. I feel many are honoring the fame. the glamor and money, and don't really give a damn about the man. Dead at 50 what a waste.

Hell, Al Sharpton refuses to admit MJ's lifestyle was weird. Is it truly possible that some Black people would make anything acceptible only when a Black man is doing it? You know what really surpises me, I have yet to hear anything related to MJ being treated in a racist manner. I find that weird, but I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually comes up and I would bet Sharpton will be one of the first to agree.

Al Shapton's career thrives on racial misery. With out victims, real or perceived, he's out of a job. IMO the man is ate up with personal bias. There might have been a time and places for his rhetoric, but it only keeps old wounds open. He is living through the achievement of others, and I hope he isn't expecting a send off like MJ when his time comes, as he has clearly established himself as a divider not a uniter.
