The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

How dare this man call me a racist? Who does he think he is? I happen to agree with Joe Wilson that Obama is a liar. Time and again Obama has lied to us about many things. He said unemployment would not go past 8%, lied; he said he saved the economy, lied; he said he would be bipartisan, lied.

But leave it to Jimmy Carter to have an outspoken opinion on anything. He claims Joe Wilson’s comments during Obama’s address to Congress were based on racism. Racism? How? Since when does calling someone a liar equal being racist? Democrats are riding race card train and its full speed ahead, next stop Disasterville. I think the Democrats need to drop the “Reps are racist” strategy cause this is a very sensitive subject that can explode in their faces very fast.

Here is what Jimmy carter had to say:

“I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American”

Oh really? Then perhaps you shouldn’t think. Perhaps you should keep you thoughts to yourself. Sure this is the US and I won’t take away your freedom to say stupid things but let me remind you that with great power comes great responsibility and with freedom of speech there is also consequences to your actions. Right now not only are you calling every person who opposes Obama’s policies racist, you seem to think you are somehow an expert at detecting racist mentalities as well. But then could that mean you were racist once? They say it takes one to know one and considering you are White and from a Party that was racist itself, one has to wonder. Even  President Clinton is not dumb enough to say something this stupid.

“That racism inclination still exists, and I think it's bubbled up to the surface because of belief among many white people -- not just in the South but around the country -- that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It's an abominable circumstance, and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply”

No one denies there is still some racism in the US. Odds are we will never get rid of it fully. But to claim that opposition to Obama is racism simply because he is Black is not only ludicrous, it’s irresponsible, ignorant and down right stupid.

Democrats have shown that Black people are nothing but pawns to them as they use Obama’s race as a tool or a weapon against opposing parties. This country was founded on the idea that people had the right to question their chosen leaders.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

This amendment gives me the right to speak out against those in my Govt who I believe do not have mine, my families or my fellow Americans best interest in mind.

Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

This amendment gives me the right to own a weapon which will allow me to defend myself in case my Gov’t decided they should make all my decisions for me without my approval.

Amendment III

No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

These amendments give me the freedom of privacy and security within my own home and personal belongings so that my Gov’t can not enter my life without probable cause.

These 4 amendments alone are only a small part of much greater bill, the Bill of Rights, which allows me to express myself, to chose my leaders and to let them know when I am not happy with their performance. But if there is one thing the Bill of Rights does not do, it does not make me a racist. Our Founding Fathers wanted to make sure the Gov’t could not overrun the people, the Gov’t serves the people, not the other way around.

I believe Congress was in their right to punish Joe Wilson for what he did. There were rules in place and he broke them. That he chose to make a stand is his prerogative and I commend him for standing up for what he believes in. I am also glad Congress chose to use the mildest punishment for anything more would have been unnecessary as all these racism accusations that are currently flying around the Media by Democrats. It’s a shame Obama has not taken the time to address this whole “Reps are racist” issue going around.

It's sad in a way. Kind of like the elderly person that family members won't take out of the house for fear he will say something embarrassing.

There is a reason why Carter only had one term. His words are not doing a thing for his already poor legacy. His actions do explain some underlying questions and give additional insight about his presidency, for students of history. He should take a cue from his fellow former presidents, both Democrat and Republican, and keep his opinion to himself. Show a small degree of class. Besides, he had his chance and failed.

I actually heard from both Dems and Reps that they believe he is actually doing more harm than good for Obama with these comments.

Carter is the worst president in and out of office.

Carter is the worst president in and out of office.

Amen.

(And it has nothing to do with him being a liberal.)
