I disagree.  The SyFy station deals with Science Fiction.  There is a lot of fiction with AGW, but not much science.

Disney would be better.  They deal with fantasy.

Sort of related: I took the wife and daughter to the aquarium today and we decided to see the 3D IMAX showing of "Under the Sea", an hour long documentary, produced by Warner Bros. and narrated by Jim Carey. The movie was great, but toward the middle and end they started laying it on a bit thick about how man's disregard for the atmosphere is affecting the oceans, and some of the little creatures might be at risk. In the same breath, it also mentioned how millions of years ago when the last Ice Age receded and the water rose (over 400 feet according to the movie), how the coral grew. Amazing! And without any help from man!

I had to chuckle to myself. They are really trying to get people to blame themselves for warming. I guess it's easy to credit nature prior to man's rise, but now we (by we I mean they) are so arrogant to believe we can greatly influence (short of total nuclear war) the environment on that level. I'm glad humans were not around during the many die-offs and extinctions that have occurred over the eons. Someone would have blamed man for those too. Don't worry though your money will make it all better. Now, back to your subtle brainwashing.

I guess you haven't read much history. Please tell me when in history these things were common? Human history is all about greed, lies, and pushing whatever agenda you believe will satisfy your particular priorities. Our technology may have advanced but we, as a species, have not. And no, people aren't any smarter now than they were 10,000 years ago.
