I often notice how This Congress and Senate spend so much time passing silly legislation, usually embedded within another bill, such as money to study something no one really cares about or money to preserve something that can be done with money from the people that live there and things like that.
What I wonder is if we have time to pass such stupid legislation why can’t we pass some legislation on something worth passing legislation for? Here’s an example:
This man, and every other member of this apartment complex were ordered to remove any flags they had on their apartments. I’m sure you are wondering what’s the big deal, it’s their apartment and if they don’t want flags they can demand to have them removed right? Sure, but why after 9 years? Why would management of this apartment complex all of a sudden ask a veteran to remove a flag he had been flying for 9 years?
This is just one of many situations where the American flag has been treated like a Halloween decoration, like a bed sheet being used as a window curtain, like anything but the flag of the greatest Nation in the world.
That’s why I propose that legislation should be made that would allow people to hang the American flag on any property they live on. Of course the legislation should be written properly so that it does not infringe on other peoples lives or that the flag by put in a place that can be dangerous or compromising to the properly. Because I just came up with the idea, I don’t have a specific proposal with details and all that stuff but maybe someone with more experience can write something up. My goal is simply to give the American people the right to fly the American flag where ever they live so long as it does not pose some kind of danger.
