The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

I haven’t seen this question here for a while so I thought I would ask. I, myself, have been stuck on a couple of games I bought over 4 months ago after buying 2 flops in between. I’m hooked on Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 now that there are hardly any hackers in there, since Black Ops came out actually. Black Ops is one of the flops I got, dam thing has never worked properly on my rig thanks to my lack of quad-cores, even with a decent video card. I guess for now I have the incentive of reaching the highest level in Modern Warfare 2 to keep me entertained till I can get a better rig to play Black Ops. Wish I could give away my copy of Battlefield Bad Company 2, the second flop I bought. I just never got the taste for this game, single or multiplayer. I prefer McDonalds to Burger King, right?

The other game I’m kinda hooked on is Starcraft II. Pretty good game if you like strategy games. I am not that good and after watch many casts of this game from the best of the best all over the world, it’s hard to stay interested but I still keep coming back for more punishment.

So what’s new and hot on your PC these days?

Been playing some Oblivion as an Altmer Atronach to prepare for Skyrim later this year.

Also been playing some Gal Civ 2 Dark Avatar (dont have Twilight).  Got my arse handed to me by the Thalans in my last game.  Nasty.

Lego Star Wars 3: Clone Wars Co-op with my brother.  Pretty cool.  I like the planet missions.  Could use an actual AI, however.  The enemy never take your bases.  So, I guess its kind of RTS Lite in that regard.

Played a few games of Sins of a Solar Empire.  Still can't really get into it.  I prefer GalCiv2.  Hardcore RTS is just not really my thing.  I prefer TBS.

I was always curious about Dominions 3. A year for one game???!!! Wow! Is it really that good?

on Apr 08, 2011

I've been playing Two Worlds 2, it's a surprisingly good game.

Dominions 3 is a great game.  And yea, there are games that last a very long time becasue if you have 16 players and turns that are taken only ever 2 days or so, you've got games that last for months and months.  Hell, they often take a few weeks just to set up.

Now, that being said, if you got a group of friends and dedicated a day to the game, you could do a game in a day.

Sins, of course.   DW - return of S....    And Sword of the Stars (still trying to get comfortable with the interface).

Its a good game. But i prefer Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War (the first one, not the sequel), although theyre basically the same, CoH does have things like suppresion fire, which makes it bit more tactical.

I'd like to point out that Dawn of War I+Xpacks is nothing like Company of Heroes+Xpacks. In fact, none of the DoW1 titles are remotely similar to any of the CoH titles.

Dawn of War 2 on the other hand, it's kinda the same but not the same.

At the moment, I play Sins with the Sacrifice of Angels Mod and Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii.  I'm loving SOA for Entrenchment; very cool mod (I like the Federation thus far, and look forward to the Borg).  M.H. Tri is a bird of another feather though; I've never seen the likes of it before.  There's lots of fun monster chopping in it, but it can be a bit time consuming.

I also have Ghost Recon, Crysis, Star Craft, and Star Wars: Battlefronts I & II on my P.C.  I cycle through my games every few months, but nearly always have a Star Wars BF or a Battlefield on my PC; we do lots of LAN games at my house.  I'll admit that we tend to fight each other more than the enemy; it gets interesting sometimes.

I imagine that if/when MechWarrior V comes out, it'll become my new favorite.  I've always been a fan of that series and love joysticks.

Company of Heroes, I've been told its a good game. My son liked the demo. Maybe I should consider it.

My main game right now   Let's do some MP.

Bought CoH, OF and ToV during Steams christmas sale for 7.5 euro. Started with the tutorial and then onto MP with friends. Very fun!

Now I'm playing the campaigns on Expert (the hardest difficulty) and are currently on US Mission #7. The campaignmissions are NOT as well done and balanced as StarCraft II but then again, what is..?

I'm also playing

DEATH RALLY!!!

Remedy released it for free and they have reworked it to run on Win7!

I played the crap out of crysis 2.  Loved it.  Went back through my old disks and just re-installed the original crysis and I'll be giving that another play through.  Still playing demigod most nights that I have time.  Just picked up anomaly:  warzone earth today as well.  Having some fun with that.  And I tried out the demo for vampire smile on the 360.  Not sure if I'll pick that up or not.  Its a bit of fun, but the hazy graphics... not sure I'm a fan of that.

Some of you may have noticed I've not been so active on the forums. Some of you may even be glad for it. Here's my explanation:

I bought Shogun 2 the day it came out and couldn't get enough of it.

Then I made the mistake of trying out Minecraft. Paid the $20ish, and now I can't stop.

Seriously. I need help. I'm halfway done building a wall around a medium sized island that will eventually be one giant castle. And I see blocks when I close my eyes. I get frustrated and go to punch trees, and then get more frustrated when it hurts and the trees don't disappear.

So, How many movement points does your car have?

I just polished off S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl last night. Man, that game fell off in terms of fun at the end.  Clear Sky sort of had the same problem, but I don't care what anyone says- Clear Sky was the better game. I got one of the bad endings because I didn't feel like doing one minor task in an extremely annoying area (Pripyat).

I've also been playing a fair amount of Valkyria Chronicles 2. That's an awesome series and wish some PC developer would copy that battle system for its TBS game.

I don't know what's going to be my next go-to game. I've Yakuza 4 waiting for me, but I'm not sure if I want to commit to such a long game right now. Unfortunately, it seems as if my entire backlog consists of long games.
