Haven’t seen much talk about this game on these forums, does anyone here play Starcraft II? Care to share your stats? Maybe your experience with the single player mode? I enjoy the single player much, am currently trying to beat it in Brutal difficulty. Let me say it’s not easy, especially for a guy who is not very experienced in the online multiplayer. All those keyboard shortcuts I haven’t learned yet would make the Brutal level so much easier.
What about Starcraft II casting, does anyone here watch the game castings found on YouTube? I find them quite interesting. It’s like watching and listening to a football or soccer game on the radio but with a video to go with it. I have heard of people who prefer to listen to the game on the radio while watching it because the radio casters tend to give more insight into the game as they take into consideration that people listening may not actually be seeing the game.
The game casters start by describing the players and the first couple of minutes of gameplay where they try to determine what type of strategy each player might be using based on what structures they build, how they build them and what movements their forces do. As the game progresses the strategies become more apparent in most cases and as the players eventually cross paths we get to see how they each react to the others current builds and then they decide if to adjust or continue with the current strategy. Depending on who you decide to follow, the caster on YouTube are actually quite good at making these games very exciting to watch. It’s also a great way to learn some interesting strategies and even some tricks you may not have tried on specific maps. I have a few recommendations on who to search for for these cast. Teamliquidnet, HuskyStarcraft, ForceSC2Startegy, AhnarisStarcraft and AskJoshy just to name a few. Add them to your subscriptions and enjoy.
For those who don’t play Starcraft II because they don’t like it, can ya tell me why? Just want to know what about this game people don’t like. Curiosity I guess. Thanks for reading.
