Just the other day I was watching a Tekzilla episode where they were talking about 3D TVs, the different 3D glasses that exist and how it affects people who use prescription glasses underneath the 3D glasses and it got me to think about the future of 3D TVs and how an article on Maximum PC states that although 3D TVs don’t seem to be catching on and don’t seem like they will due to the tech being too new and not developed enough, they still believe it’s not gonna go bye-bye any time soon if at all.
But then as I was reading thru some of the facebook comments on my account and saw that one of the people I subscribe to on youtube said they were gonna have a new youtube account and it got me thinking how I have been planning to make a video blog for quite some time but have not had the time or money to get the proper equipment, website and such. Due my thoughts about my video blog I thought about the type of camera I would like to buy and I remembered about the 3D video cameras I saw on the CES 2011 videos online. And that's when I started thinking about people who will eventually buy these cameras and probably upload 3D videos on to youtube.
My questions are can youtube display 3D videos? Can they be seen as 3D from out end? I figure, obviously, one would need a 3D TV or monitor to view them but would it matter why type is used? What about those who don’t have 3D yet? I figure there would be a 2D option although in some cases it may be pointless as some videos will be made with 3D in mind so 2D would be basically useless.
I have not seen anything out there that talks about 3D youtube videos and such. Has anyone heard about this possibility? This is just a curiosity of mine as I just happen to think about it and could not help but wonder. It would be pretty neat to see what some people could do with 3D hardware on youtube. I can imagine a youtube caster like freddiew who uploads videos he makes with video editing software like Adobe Elements and such making cool 3D movies with his style? That would be pretty cool. What do you think?
