The World Thru My Eyes - I speak my mind and man does it like to talk.

From Hilary Clinton, to Barack Obama, to Randy Roe. If I got a dime for every time Democrats say the word change, I'd make Donald Trump bank accounts look like chunk change. But when Democrats talk about change, what exactly do they mean? I mean, don't we always want change every time we are looking to vote for a new President? Even when we vote for the same person for 2 terms, don't we hope they make changes to that they didn't change the first time around? But when we say we want change, what kind of change are we really looking for?

Is what the Democrats offer really the kind of change we want simply because Bush is Republican? Are we gonna chose a candidate based on the idea that because the current President is a Republican, that somehow a Democrat should be able to make me happy? I'm sorry but even though our choices for the next President are about as great as a Corvette on a 15 MPH zone, I just can't shack the thought of taking my hand out of the fire just to stick it into the grinder. But hey, that's just me opinion. This is American, and you have the right to vote for who you think is the best choice for your personal gain. After all, don't most of us Americans vote for our own personal reasons and not necessarily for the country's personal benefit? Think about it, why would a poor person vote for a Democrat if not for self benefit, if not for envy of what rich people have, if not for wanting something they don't have to work for to earn. Take it as you may, but sometimes the truth hurts. The proof will most likely be found in the comments below.

As Schnitt put it today, McCain may not be my choice between the current Republican candidates, but if he wins, I am not voting for Hilary or Obama.

It's quite a stretch to say the economy is in the "shitcan", or that "everyone" is suffering to get work. This is the typical exaggeration about U.S. domestic policies that are the highlight of the DNC talking points.

Do you really think so? Even your idol, Mr. Bush says the economy is dire and needs a massive handout. I really think you should consider voting democrat.

Island Dog, you seem to think that the Republican Party is still the party of fiscal responsibility. They are not. Obama wants to reinstate a pay as you go policy.

If memory serves me correctly - since it was so long ago, it seems the democrats promised the same thing when they took control of congress. And that lasted.....hmmmm....how long?

I just hope Obama has not been corrupted by DC yet. That is the only thing he has going for him right now.

Bush is not my idol, not even close. Bush isn't a conservative no more than McCain is. Hence the massive handout we have.

Why should I consider voting democrat?

I don't want higher taxes on myself or my employers....
I don't want to be less secure from islamic terrorism in the name of political correctness...
I don't want national healthcare that will make a problem who knows how many times worse...
I can go on and on....

You are half right. Republicans are out of control spenders, no doubt. However, at least they aren't proposing massive healthcare and more entitlements.

Obama wants a......certain class to pay as you go policiy. Lets get that straight right now.

I think when people really start looking at Obama they will see he is a poltiician as any other.  This whole "he's different" attitude just makes me laugh.

I find it interesting how so much alike Democrats and Republicans are and at the same time so different. Both parties want people to have more money in their pockets. The difference is the Republicans want people to keep more of their hard earned money, Democrats want people keep more of someone else's hard earned money. Sure Bush wants to hand out someone else's money to everyone who qualifies, but that hardly qualifies him as doing what the Democrats want. Sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures, even if it means compromising to the will of the Democrats.

I like Republicans because from the party I get the feeling of earning my just deserves. I have to work for what I want and I deserve to keep as much of it as possible. With the Democrats I get the feel of being a baby who has everything handed to them, who doesn't have to lift a finger to earn my just deserves. Another thing both parties have in common they both tend to like one group of people over the other, Republicans like people with money more than people with very little or none, Democrats like people with very little or none than those with money, especially when they have lots of it.

I wanna do what i think is best not only for my country but for the world, that includes rich and poor people. I'm just not a firm believer that handing things to people without them making any effort except the lines at your local Gov't office, will make them better people. Rich children are considered spoiled brats cause they are seen as not working for what they have, don't you think the same can be said for poor people who get things for free and not having to work for them from the Gov't out of the pocket of those who worked to pay for it?

I don't know Sodaiho, you seem to have your heart in the right place, but even God says "do not steal" and taking by force (by law) more from people who believe they are giving enough as oppose to asking them to give more is, as described in a dictionary, to:
