As a minority Hispanic, in a way I am happy our country has shown it can look past the color of a man’s skin and elect him for President, while a woman did not win, we also proved a woman can also stand side by side with the boys and fight to lead our country. Now that we have our first Black President I have wondered if this will somehow bring down some of the racial walls that still exist in this country. But I also can’t help but think it’s a shame we needed to vote in a Minority in this coun...

It looks to me like those from the Republican Party that survived the November elections were probably better off losing seeing as their opinions and votes are almost as useless as a knife in a gun fight. According to the Media, Obama warned the Republicans on capital Hill to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh if they want to get things done. If by “getting things done” he means getting what they want, then those Republicans he was warning can only be 1 of 2 things to be able to actually listen to ...

Now that a Democrat is President and Congress and the Senate of under their control as well, will our favorite Bush basher, the Ol' Colonel, make a comeback? And what about a Republican version of him? Can we have an Obama basher on JU in the same manner? I volunteer to throw some bashing every once in a while but I could never live up to our favorite former resident troll.

Now that Obama is now President Obama and was singing the National Anthem at the end of his Inauguration, do all these people, who we once heard about claiming would never sing or recognize the National Anthem because it speaks of a time when slavery still existed in the US, still won't recognize or sing the National Anthem? I just can't help but wonder how will this and other kinds of racist situations will be affected now that we have had our first Black man as President of the US. I feel t...

So the day has come, Barack H. Obama is now President Obama. Let's be honest here and admit this was not the day many were looking forward to. Not because Obama is black, not because he has a Muslim father, not because he;s from Chicago. It's because he is a Democrat, the most Liberal Democrat to memore precise. But, Republicans have only themselves to blame for this. Now that he is our President, the time has come to accept the peoples choice for it is part of our culture, our laws, our coun...

Dear President Barack H. Obama: On this your first day as President of the United States of America, I just wanted to say thank you for taking upon the task of leading this country. Like so many before you, achieving the position of the leader of the Free World is no easy task; handling the job will not be any easier. While I did not vote for you and do not agree with your policies, as a citizen of this country, I will accept you as my President and will give you the respect you deserve a...

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 {behavior:url(#ieooui) } -->  Dear President George W. Bush, On this your last day as President of the United States of America, I just wanted to say thank you for your service for the past 8 years. While many in this country, and abroad, did not like you (considering your approval ratings) you were our President none the less an...

So, what would you do to earn a degree from college? According to Foxnews.com , 22 year old Natalie Dylan from San Diego thought auctioning off her virginity was a sure fire way to make enough money to pay for college and earn a degree. And according to the article, she was right. Talk about a high priced hooker, this woman was offered $3.7 million dollars for her virginity. Now, I'm all for having a good time with a woman virgin or not, and spending some money on her is no big deal if you c...

I was born and raised in this country, the good ol' US of A. I love my country and am proud to be a citizen; am proud of those who gave their lives to defend it; am proud of those who fought hard to make this country the greatest country in the world. But I can't deny that the people of this country are plagued with imperfections. Recent political events have made me think about my fellow Americans in today's lifestyle. It is my opinion that Obama did not win the election because he was the b...

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4   I often wonder what some people where thinking when they go and buy (or maybe even regift) some of the toys they buy for those Christmas charities that come around ever year.   Every year the company I work for sets up boxes on every floor near every elevator for “Toys For Toys”, a foundation by the Marines. Every year the employees of my company...

As some here know, I am a big fan of 80's music. I have a nice collection of 80's music that  is constantly growing. But there were some songs that for years I have been hunting down and had very little success in find, till recently. By late 1980's I was living in Puerto Rico after living the first 8 years of my life in New Jersey. It was not an easy transition from the city life to a farm-like atmosphere. Living in my small town was like living in a almost poverty like conditions. Thin...

I remember years ago when movies were around $5 to $6 and we still had $1 and $2 theaters. 20 bucks got you plenty of people and plenty of food for the latest or at least something that came out about a month ago. Today, $20 can barely get 3 people thru the doors and you can forget about snacks. I went to the theaters this weekend to see Madagascar 2 with my wife and kids. It was a great movie, funny as hell, but it cost me $32 to get us in. But while I think the movie price is high, it pales...

Well, I finally voted. As sad as this may sound, this is actually my first time voting. For years I had very little interest in politics, but my political side began to itch just before I started hanging out in JU, right before Bush's second term. By then I still did not have the drive to get myself registered to vote so I missed out on voting in 2004 and when 2006 came, I was still not mentally ready. Well, that all changed this year. Seeing how things were going, I felt it was my duty as a ...

It's interesting what the Media finds important now a days. The economy is like a rollercoaster, our country is at war in 2 fronts, countries like Iran and North Korea playing with nukes, Obama wants to spread the wealth, Biden thinks Obama is not ready and Congress has the lowest approval ratings ever. And what is the Media concerned with? Where Sarah Palin shops for her clothes. Did I miss something here? Is this what people want to here 2 weeks before elections? Is Obama's campaign suffering ...
