I was listening to the radio on my way to work, where they are playing non stop Christmas music all the way till Christmas day, and one of the DJ's asked an interesting question to the audience. Do you think Gift Cards are really gifts? According to the DJ a lady (who's name I can't remember) claims that Gift Cards are an excuse to give something because you didn't trust in your own judgment for not knowing the person well enough to know what to get them. Ouch, talk about a smack of truth in ...
A friend of my wife had bought some hamsters and eventually found herself in a position where should could not care for them anymore. My wife and I thought we could take them in as the first pets for the kids. It's been a few months now and we went from 2 to 7 and soon will be more. It turns out it's not as easy to taake care of them as we thought. We don't have the time to be taking care of such small creatures. We have already tried to give them away but i guess everyone else knew someth...
I just bought a Linksys wireless router but no matter how I follow the instruction I can connect both wireless laptops but can get Internet on them Help please. Thanks in advance.
Test, this is only a Windows Live Writer article test. Thank you.
My only real problem is that I always have 2 sign in on the main page with IE and Firefox and then I have to sign in again when I click on the forums link or if I head to the forums directly. Every once in a while when I click an article I have to sign in to be able to post. I guess for some reason I just can't stay logged on the new site half the time. Could it be me or is it JU? I have tried cleaning out cookies, temp internet files and even reinstalling Firefox, nothing works.Any help would b...
I've decided to take some advice and do my part on JU. I'm making a call to all you JU citizens to do you part and bring on the writing skills and drop an interesting article from time to time to spring things up a bit. We're short on interesting writers but that doesn't mean the rest of us are dull. Lets show them that anyone on JU can be interesting, passionate and worth listening. I also call on the occasional pain in the butt poster, JU could be dull without the occasional uneducated rant an...
I have to say it would seem things on JU may pick up faster than I expected. Already I find myself on Brad's blacklist ( hey Brad, it works perfectly ) but that's cool. I'm not offended, it was expected. He is the owner after all and I was coming off a bit too strong on my opinions. But I do find it interesting that my road to his blacklist started with me posting an opinion about maybe looking elsewhere for some entertainment till JU got back on it's feet. Then I (and many others) was called pa...
While browsing thru the Satellite channels today I came across a movie I had not seen in years. Air Force One with Harrison Ford. he's one of my favorite actors. I love all the Indiana Jones movies and I'm a big fan of Han Solo and his Millennium Falcon. As I watched how the President of the US (Harrison Ford) found himself in the middle of a hijacking of Air Force One and fought his way thru the terrorist to save is family and the rest of the passengers, I found myself wondering (as a joke) if ...
(inspired by Draginol’s article Treehugger.com is awesome ) Most people have an idea of what their dream house might be. Some have been lucky enough to achieve their goals in getting it. I too have a dream house of my own, but the chances of obtaining it are pretty slim considering my current financial situation. The problem is my dream house is more than just a dream. Taking ideas from all sorts of TV shows like This Old House, Ask DIY Home Improvements and the many other TV ...
You know, sometimes I wish I would just stop trying to be funny (and I emphasize on "trying"). Every once in a while I see a chance for a small joke just to humor things a bit. It's in my nature I guess, I figure a little bit of humor goes a long way to making people happy. My problem seems to be, not in my good intentions, but in the delivery. Let's face it, I suck at comedy. I couldn't make anyone laugh if I had a comedian telling jokes for me while I stood on stage and lip synced. I can't ...
Well the time has come for me to say good-bye. It may not bea permanent good-bye (I might come around again someday to see how things aregoing) though I’m sure some will hope it is. I have a few reasons for leaving;I find myself in a time where I seem to be using the Internet to hide from myproblems so I decided to cute back a bit and move on to other things in life. One of the reasons is that the site has gotten a bit slow, lacking interesting articles. It seems only the regulars pos...
Hello JU, how we doing? It's been nearly a month since I took a break. Due to habits I came around from time to time to take a peak at things. Looks like JU is getting back to normal little by little. I see some new names and many old ones still around. That's good, JU is a great place and would hate to see it go away for any reason (not that there was any talks about that, just me babbling). I look forward to coming back soon; I kinda miss the good discussions, the occasional fight...
It would seem that Respect is not so much something that is earned on JU, but more like a reward for being invited to join a club or something. Some who come on this site are never really given a chance to become part of this community, they are labeled as “annoying” or something and regardless of what they do to change (if they do anyways), it’s too late. Then there are those who, from minute 1, reek havoc on this site to the point of driving everyone nuts and eventually getti...
No, I am not gonna give details here of myself that may prone a stalker to find me and maybe even try to kill me. But considering most here know very little about me, I would like to talk about myself a bit here. I was born and raised in New Jersey and am of Puerto Rican background. I have always considered myself an American first, Puerto Rican second. I love my country and have always been proud to be American (even though being Puerto Rican would have still made me an American). I was ...
As Forest Gump puts it “It’s happens”, “Shit”, bad things happen to people unexpectedly. But how often does something very, very embarrassing happens to you? One time is more than enough as far as I’m concerned and it once happened to me. That was probably the worst day of my life, and it happened while I was a teen. It happened about 17 years ago, I was about 15 years old. At the time I was living in Puerto Rico in a small town where everyone knew ...
