Need some help. I decided to dust off and revive my Windows Live Writer software to post on JU but I keep getting the following error. Has joeuser.com been changed in a way that Windows Live Writer no longer work on it? I have followed the instructions per the article posted on the main page Posting with Windows Live Writer but I get the error above. Can someone assist? Thanks. Powered by Zoundry Raven

Are you one of those people who spent a life time and a fortune building your incredible DVD collection of movies only to be stuck with a DVD player these days while your friends enjoy the incredible quality of HD movies on their HD TVs because it's just to darn expensive to buy blue-ray movies especially when you already have the movie on DVD? Don't feel so bad, Warner Brothers has the solution for you and you won't even have to put a second morgage on your house or sell your laptop at the p...

I was wondering if the joeuser.com administration has considered the idea of adding facebook and twitter links on joeuser.com? I have seen site where you click on a facebook or twitter icon and it can link the page on your facebook or twitter account to share the page. Is this something that has been considered? Is it a feature that might be added to JU someday? Or is this not worth adding or tooo much hassle? Just wondering? I'm curious about this since its very common on websites these days...

Can someone help explain how to post a picture to come out a specific size on JU without having to go into the "insert image" feature on JU every time? I am looking to put a signature on my articles with and image but the image is a bit big and would like to resize it when posting but would like to avoid having to go into the edit button to do it every time I post an article. Although I guess making the image smaller might be easier but if there is a solution to post the image and resize it in t...

I'm a big fan of revision3.com 's show Tekzilla. One of my favorite sections of this show is "a website we just can't get enough of" where they point out sites they consider "too useful, too funny or too darn irresistible". On a past episode they pointed out a site I found quite interesting. www.instantjury.com This site is pretty interesting. By signing up you get a site that works like a court system that allows you to post your argument as a plaintiff or a defendant. You can even add...

Do you believe most people here in America are stupid? The Gov't seems to think so. As the years and decades have gone by our Gov't has made it their business to relieve us from the burden of our stupidity. How? Well, every time the Gov't passes a law that basically takes the responsibility away from the people it's just a way of saying "you are not smart enough to do this yourself so we will do it for you". Now, I can accept certain situations where some people may need some help, but I can't h...

I was suprised to see how one of my articles was featured on joeuser.com within a minute or 2 from posting it. Heck, it was there just as I refreshed the page after posting. It's kinda cool in my opinion to have it featured, but I have noticed how being featured is no longer a big thing around here. I remember when people would make comments saying things like "congrats on the feature" and posting smileys like as well. But you don't see this happen anymore, not sure why. I also noticed people...

I think I just figured out why a 3rd person in a relationship is so common (unlike common sense) these days or to be more blunt "why people cheat". I work for a customer service dept in mthis company where many companies call looking for payment on their invoices. What amazes me is how often people say "I have a couple of invoices I need to check" but in reality they usually mean they have 3 invoices to check (I'd say about 90% of the time). Last I checked "couple" was defined as "a pair" as in ...

I was trying to post an article earlier and the program I use first failed to upload but after a second attempt it went thru. When I went to check the site it was showing the "code pigeons" error page. I just went back and it was up but not as it was before. It seems that any replies done today are currently not showing on the site. Joeuser.com has gone back in time to yesterday. Ironic since I just happen to be listening to a Star Trek Voyager episode dealing in temporal distortions, time chang...

A co-worker sent me a very nice email and I thought it would be a great idea to share with everyone here. " XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.co m you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services. How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we kn...

You know, it's amazing how now matter how bad things seem, there is always a glimmer of light that gives hope. I tend to look at todays society and see more of the things I dislike than of those I wish was more common. Kindness can sometimes be hard to find these days. People at the store can be rude, selfish and sometimes just down right stupid. Don't get me started on those on the road or online. How often do you come across someone who's kind enough to help an old lady with her bags (unless y...

You know there are some things I will never understand about some people. But one thing that bites me the most is when my own family and friends chose to go with people who they think know about computers rather than me who they know I am basically a computer geek. A while back my sister in law had a problem with her PC. I'm the kind of guy who tries to fix PC issues without having to reinstall Windows and such. It's a pain to have to back everything up and put it back afterwards. I don't min...

It's amazing how fast things can get bad these days. Economy still having trouble, unemployment continues to rise and everything is still expensive. Even if you're lucky enough to keep your job, things like bonuses and raises are as likely as winning the lottery 3 times in a row. So, when things get tough, how far are you willing to go to improve your situation? Me? I find myself doing things I don't normally do. I've been playing the lottery every week (fantasy 5, Florida lotto, megaball)...

My mom makes a great Thanksgiving meal. It's a shame I don't get to enjoy it much these days since we live too far from each other. Sure, this is nothing a 2 hour flight can't fix, but times are tough and even when things weren't bad I could never make it; now seems almost impossible. I enjoy cooking but have never tried to make my own recipes of any kind. I make a mean Lasagna but have never bothered to write it down. Heck, most of the stuff I use is premade but lately I have tried to make m...

The truth hurts, we all know that. But what do you do about it? Do you take it like a man (no insult to women intended) and accept you are either wrong or that someone just has a difference of opinion from you or do you deny their opinion and when they persist you simply shut them up and shut them out? For the years I have been on JU, I have always felt that the Blacklisting feature on JU had a more specific purpose than just to blacklist people for not agreeing with you. If you spend enoug...
