One never knows what one is going to come across on the Internet when one clicks that little IE or FF icon. Even less once you access the JU website and log on. Well, this morning I came across several articles on the Recent Articles section that I found somewhat strange. When I tried to open them I got this very interesting message that said something like "this article was nuked". There were at least 6 or 7 on the list that after a few minutes and a couple of reloads or the tabs, they we...
Makes me wonder just how passionate are some gamers about the political parties and the politicians they like or dislike when they learn that politicians could actually have advertisements within certain video games they purchase. Imagine an Obama ad that actually shows up in a billboard on a video game. Imagine no more. According to a Talking Points Memo article , virtual billboards within games like Burnout Paradise for the xBox 360 can be bought just like billboard space out in the real...
I have Vista Home Premium and I was wondering if it's possible to change some of the folders on the Start Menu since there are some I don't actually use. Using the image above as a reference, please look at the part of the Start Menu where the Document folder is. In that section there are 6 icons from the Document folder to the My Computer icon. I would like to be able to exchange the Games icon folder for the Video icon folder. I don't use the Games folder but I do use the Video folder...
As some here know, I am a bit of a gamer. My passion? Call of Duty 4, I am addicted to this game. I use to spend many hours a day playing this game but have cut back to a couple of hours a day Lately, I couldnt help but notice some of the more interesting names I came across while playing on a particular server. I just found them quite funny considering the type of game we were playing (a war game) and how they, themselves were playing. Here's what I mean: Maggots - Now this guy consider...

Well, it seems that most peoples wishes have come true as gas prices drop below $3.00 this week in some areas of the US. It seems this is a month of records of all sorts. Here in Florida we are seeing prices between $2.99 and $2.71. Can't remember the last time I saw a 2 at a gas station as the first number, but according to the news on the radio this morning it was only a year ago when gas prices were under $3.00. Wow, it felt like years ago. What's even more amazing is how a barrel of gas was ...
I know Halloween this year may not be as eventful as in the past due to economic situations. I still hope people will find elaborate ways to disguised themselves for the fun of it. I look forward to dressing up this year, have not done it in years. I am thinking of dressing as a Jedi, after all I like Star Wars and I love those light up Light Sabers. What will you or your kids be dressing? I have not asked my kids yet but they never really know till they get to the stores anyways. I hope all ...
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Thanks to all the commentson Artysim’s article, Michael Moore Says… , I was inspired to write this articleto put people to the test to see just how much some believe those who canafford it should go out of their way to pay for other peoples poor choices. First I have to say I thought it was a good debate. Both candidates gave their all and answered the questions in a very professional manner. This is my take of the candidates: I saw in Biden a man who believes everything he said. He seemed honest and did his best to point out why Obama was the right choice. But I have to agree with Palin that Biden did go back to the past many times as oppose to simply pointing to what would be done by him and Obama. I also saw Biden pretty much use Democrati...
Well, just when you thought Sarah Palin had been beaten, burnt, tazed, thrown off a cliff and basically strapped to a bomb and blown to bits (this is how I see the treatment of Sarah Palin by the Democrats and the Media) to the point it that doesn't seem like they can do anymore to completely destroy this womans life, the Democrats find a way to inflict even more damage to her. Tomorrow is the most anticipated Vice Presidential Debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. But we may as well rena...

I see a lot of people on here who are either on board with the bailout or against it. I also notice many have made it their business to inform themselves about the current situation and the bill currently being created and apparently rejected. I appreciate people who at least inform themselves. Now my question is this, in easy plain terms (think of very young people possibly reading this) if the bill is not passed for what ever reason and we decide to just ride out the fall, what do you belie...
There are times when I feel I am the worst father ever to walk the face of this planet. Of course that is an exaggeration, but when it comes to my kids, I can't help thinking that way sometimes. Since I was little I have always been a TV person. Day and night I would watch show after show after show. Sure, I went outside to play like most kids, but I always found time to get some TV viewing done. I grew up watching shows like "The Facts of Life", "Three's Company" and "Different Strokes". I a...
So, one short simple article with just one simply (while not really simple) question: Should we bail out the banks and save their asses in the hopes they learned their lesson or should we simply let them fail by their own mistakes and hope we can survive this possible financial/nuclear explosion and therefor not putting the burden on the American tax payer or is that last part gonna happen anyways? I hear many conflicting reports and since I am not very educated in the economy, I am confus...
No, I'm not talking about the New England Patriots who just proved that they are nothing without Tom Brady as they got their butts kicked by, of all teams, the Miami Dolphins. No, this is about what it is to me to be a Patriot, a man who loves his country. This is about what I think being a Patriot to your country should be all about, if you are proud of it of course. According to wordnet search: patriot , nationalist (one who loves and defends his or her country) This basicall...
