First I have to say I thought it was a good debate. Both candidates gave their all and answered the questions in a very professional manner. This is my take of the candidates: I saw in Biden a man who believes everything he said. He seemed honest and did his best to point out why Obama was the right choice. But I have to agree with Palin that Biden did go back to the past many times as oppose to simply pointing to what would be done by him and Obama. I also saw Biden pretty much use Democrati...

I find myself wondering about how most Americans truly see things in the US today. With the housing crisis keeping many people up at night, Wall Street shaking the US and every countries economy like dice in a cup, jobs being lost left and right and gas prices going up and down like Flubber (never slowing down); one would think Obama would be winning this election hands down. That Obama, being seen as our savior, the man with the plan, the One, he who will bring the change that is needed; would ...

I am very interested in Barack Obama's ideas about fairness. I would like to take a  moment and talk about the word fairness. Fairness - The property of being fair Basically, to be fair, like having the same amount of players on each team when playing a game or sport or to split earnings 50/50 for equal work. But lets take the concept of playing a sport and explorer fairness a bit further. Let's take a basket ball game scenario. You gonna play a game of B-ball with some  f...

These are the words of a man supposedly from "The Black Panthers" who was standing at the entrance of a polling station in Philadelphia next to another "Black Panther" who was holding a nightstick. This is what an Obama Administration will bring to this country, and some claim we are ready for a Black President. Racism at it's best coming from the side who claims Republicans are racist. The BS in this country is mind-boggling and I hope Obama wins, the people of this nation deserve nothing le...

It’s ironic that the people of this nation chose to vote in a man that promised to fix our economy claiming the Republicans basically messed everything up yet President Obama has done a fantastic job at picking some very amazing people for his Administration who, so far, 3 have had money issues. First we had Hillary Clinton and her husbands charity problems which was giving them problems to confirm her. Then there was the Secretary of Treasury, the man who would be in charge of the IRS...

2009, a year where the Republicans became the minority in the Gov't and lost most of their power to keep balance in the Gov't, the GOP in Congress have shown still have a backbone and will not back down and bow down to he who believe's because he won that somehow his will shall be done. Bush was criticized by many for approving the $700 billion stimulus package that was said to go against what the majority of Americans wanted. To this day the bill has done very little of what was said it woul...

OK, so I am not much of a political expert or an economics expert either. The knowledge that I have mostly came from this site. So with that said I have to question something I heard on the news yesterday that, to me, has both good points and bad. According to a foxnews.com article Wells Fargo had plans to send some of their employees and a, what they called, traditional all-expense-paid trip to Las Vegas for 12 days. Wells Fargo recently acquired Citigroup, one of the banks that received b...

I have to say that Obama has definitely proved he has brought change to the US Gov't for this new Era. Not only is Obama failing to get the Republicans to back his policies (bipartisan? yea right) but now his own Party members are questioning his Stimulus Package. Not to mention he was already having issues agree with Pelosi. Now we have a not so punctual President. According to Foxnews.com , it seems that scheduled meetings and news conferences run on "Obama Time", meaning that rather than bei...

It looks like this? In case you haven’t figured it out, this is a picture of President Obama along side one of his 2 paid-by-taxpayers million dollar buses which he is using to ride across the US to talk about American job creation (nice way to use tax payers money to pay for your campaigning). BTW, did I mention these buses were made in Canada? I guess when Obama stated that he wanted to see products sold around the world that said “Made in America” he meant to include Canada since...

Lots of talk about who might run for Republican candidate for the President of the US for 2012 but one of the more interesting ones I see is Donald Trump. Now, I remember hearing about Ross Perot back when I was little but because I did not have much interest in politics back then I knew very little about him except he sounded kinda funny and was very persistent ( Edit: I mean annoying not persistent ).  Now we possibly have Donald Trump, another millionaire considering taking the big ch...

This week Congress convenes again for the last time, in what is called a lame duck session, to take care of this years last details before the new Congress takes over in January. One of the more important items to be debated and voted on are the Bush Tax Cuts which are set to expire in 2011. Now, I have 2 issues with this “lame duck session” and neither really have anything to do with whether some, all or none of the Bush Tax Cuts should me extended or made permanent. My first issue is the ...

What a shameful day this day, the day I wanted to make my voice count, to make a difference and as usual the system screwed me. I was denied my right to vote simply because I had recently moved and had not updated my address in the system. 2 polling placed refused to let me vote with the excuse that it would violate a law to allow me to vote on either one. This I an outrage, illegals get to vote, people without licenses get to vote, unregistered people get to vote, me and my wife? We were d...

Today is the day we vote, not because we are Democrats, Republicans or Independents. Today we vote because we want a better future for our country, even if we all see different ways of achieving this goal. Today we vote because we are Americans and it is our duty as citizens of this nation to choose those that will serve our nation best, key word serve. As a proud American, I ask you to please go out and vote and that when you vote you do it wisely and well informed. Do not vote simply becaus...

“ The Obama administration has tapped an outspoken critic of immigration enforcement on the local level to oversee and promote partnerships between federal and local officials. Harold Hurtt, a former police chief in Houston and Phoenix, has been hired as the director for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Office of State and Local Coordination. Starting July 6, Hurtt will supervise outreach and communication between ICE, local law enforcement agencies, tribal leaders and r...

Illegal Immigrants; you would think that meant something bad since it has the word “illegal” in it. But according to Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, illegal immigrants should also be protected under the Labor Laws that protect legal citizens rights to fair wages even though by law they should not even be employed in the first place. But you don’t have to take my word for it, hear it from the mouth of the moron herself: Just listen to what she says at about 18 seconds...
