I have used the PrintPDF add-on for Firefox in order to save websites as PDF for offline reading, the problem is the PDF file created does not maintain the look of the page on the site which in turn creates extra unnecessary pages on the PDF file, instead it moves many of the icons, images and text around I’m assuming to accommodate the size of the page. I was hoping there was a way to get the PDF to look as much as the website page does when converting it. Any suggestions? I can install a...

I have come across come people on Joeuser.com who seem to dislike to have others post comments on their articles which contradict their points of their articles. Makes no sense why they post articles in the first place if they don’t want to be told anything to the contrary to what they write but since they do I have a suggestion on how to avoid getting opposing thoughts and opinions posted on their articles. Easy as pie:   You simply need to uncheck the “Allow users t...

You are not allowed to comment on my opinions on this article because it’s mine and I can lock it if I want to. Unless a site admin unlocks it of course.

Haven’t seen much talk about this game on these forums, does anyone here play Starcraft II? Care to share your stats? Maybe your experience with the single player mode? I enjoy the single player much, am currently trying to beat it in Brutal difficulty. Let me say it’s not easy, especially for a guy who is not very experienced in the online multiplayer. All those keyboard shortcuts I haven’t learned yet would make the Brutal level so much easier. What about Starcraft II casting, does anyon...

I love reading tech articles from sites like Maximum PC, Tested and more, keeping up to date with today’s technology and newest gadgets coming down the pipes. But I notice more often than not how I always come across that one person who always seems to have a conflicting belief of who should make the products we buy and how much they should get paid. Take for example this article from Maximum PC on how Apple is facing retaliation from Samsung after they sued Samsung for patent infring...

Not sure about you but I like the Ribbon UI added to the Microsoft Office UI. I find it very useful and nice. To add it to the next Microsoft Windows OS seems like a given. But as usual you get the “I think this is stupid” or “I can’t stand the Ribbon UI” comments from either Windows haters or people who simply want to stir up some debate over “what’s new” out there. I honestly don’t see anything wrong with this idea. What about you? Do yo...

I’ll be perfectly honest and state that I really don’t understand the possible repercussions of a Gov’t shutdown. The concept sounds scary but there are conflicting reports over just how bad a Gov’t shutdown really is. I myself find it hard to believe politicians who are stating that this would be disastrous for our nation as they always tend to exaggerate things for their own political purposes. I also find it hard to believe that an entity such as the US Gov’t can actually be shutdown without ...

I haven’t seen this question here for a while so I thought I would ask. I, myself, have been stuck on a couple of games I bought over 4 months ago after buying 2 flops in between. I’m hooked on Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 now that there are hardly any hackers in there, since Black Ops came out actually. Black Ops is one of the flops I got, dam thing has never worked properly on my rig thanks to my lack of quad-cores, even with a decent video card. I guess for now I have the incentive of reachi...

Lots of talk about who might run for Republican candidate for the President of the US for 2012 but one of the more interesting ones I see is Donald Trump. Now, I remember hearing about Ross Perot back when I was little but because I did not have much interest in politics back then I knew very little about him except he sounded kinda funny and was very persistent ( Edit: I mean annoying not persistent ).  Now we possibly have Donald Trump, another millionaire considering taking the big ch...

Considering how bad things are these days with the economy in the US, I welcome any penny that gets sent my way; especially the way things are going in my own household. It’s been a while since we’ve seen any extra money from the company I work for but it was very nice of them to finally come thru for us and give us a raise (for those who qualified anyways) but I can’t help but find what I got to be hardly enough to be noticeable in my next check. Basically, had I not been told I probably would ...

I’m not a big youtube person like some out there who spend sometimes several hours a day watching all types of videos on youtube. I go on occasionally to view some viral video or to watch some game casting for Starcraft II which I have become somewhat a fan of. But it’s interesting, and very annoying, how youtube has gone downhill, as far as I’m concerned, by now having constant video ads play, without the ability to skip or or stop it most of the time, during almost every video I click on these...

I could use some help here from the wonderful “coding pigeons” (having seen that screen in  long time now that I think about it)  of Joeuser, or answers if possible. I’ve been posting on JU for many years now and have always noticed these “problems” but never bothered to ask till now. I use Firefox (version 3 and 4) and every time I post something or make changes the screen always does some “weird” I would think it shouldn’t based on other websites I also visit (some from Stardock as w...

So I was listening to a recent episode of one of my favorite podcast, webbeat.tv (I highly recommend this site and their podcast) and they shared a very interesting website. This website, www.ifoundyourcamera.net , allows people who have found or purchased cameras with photos in them to post some of the pictures with the hopes the owners of the camera might happen to see them and be able to get the camera back or at least the pictures. I checked the site out and although the concept of the...

If there is one thing I have learned in life is that I don’t have time to be angry. Anger brings about too much distraction, too many problems and takes the entertainment away from everything. As a realist I tend to accept that there are people out there who will try really hard to get you mad, be it as a joke, by having an insulting nature (people who get offended easily and are fast to throw verbal punches) or are looking for trouble. I like to smile at life as often as possible because in rea...

OK, so I download a lot of podcast thru iTunes but I don’t always watch them on my PC. I normally move them to my portable drive where I can listen to them at work since I can’t download them there. I was wondering if anyone can suggest a program that will automatically move the files from multiple folders to specific folders on my portable drive. Also an alternative to iTunes for downloading podcast would be appreciated. Although I don’t mind iTunes for downloading I wouldn’t mind trying someth...
