I was suprised to see how one of my articles was featured on joeuser.com within a minute or 2 from posting it. Heck, it was there just as I refreshed the page after posting. It's kinda cool in my opinion to have it featured, but I have noticed how being featured is no longer a big thing around here. I remember when people would make comments saying things like "congrats on the feature" and posting smileys like as well. But you don't see this happen anymore, not sure why. I also noticed people...

It looks like Arizona is on a role as they recently passed the Arizona Immigration Enforcement Bill that gives local police authority to enforce immigration laws but also are in the works to pass a bill that will force President Obama and future Presidential candidates to provide a birth certificate in order to "appear on the ballot in Arizona". Link So, if they do manage to get this passed, will we finally put this debate to rest? It's a shame considering Obama ran under the impression t...

With all the stories about taxes going up or being added in every little bill being sent thru the Gov't and who pays too much and who doesn't pay enough or at all (see parated2k's interesting article on this here ) I was reminded about a scene in the movie Armageddon where Bruce Willis and his had been asked to save the world and they would agree with a few conditions: Wipe outstanding Parking Tickets 2 women friends be made American citizens no questions asked Bring back 8 track tapes...

I think I just figured out why a 3rd person in a relationship is so common (unlike common sense) these days or to be more blunt "why people cheat". I work for a customer service dept in mthis company where many companies call looking for payment on their invoices. What amazes me is how often people say "I have a couple of invoices I need to check" but in reality they usually mean they have 3 invoices to check (I'd say about 90% of the time). Last I checked "couple" was defined as "a pair" as in ...

OK, I have Fences Pro and the concept of the program is awesome. However, I have a small problem that I have not been able to solve and it drives me nuts. Oddly enough I never got around to posting about it till today, I would forget about it since I don't use the desktop icons often. Basically, everytime I play a game, say Call of Duty, the desktop screen resolution changes and when this happens the icones on my desktop go all over the place even with Fences. By the time the game shuts down ...

I am currently looking into putting a list of parts for a future computer, parts that will change as time goes bye till I finally get it but I always find myself stuck on one particular hardware due to one feature I like but am not sure if it's worth getting. The power supply has always been a pain. Between picking the right amount of watts and the brand name I end up with headaches. But the one thing I have yet to decide is to either go modular or not. The ability to pick only the cables tha...

First let me say that although I was raised as a Catholic, I personally have no issues with people believing in any religion of their choice. If they want to praise Allah, so be it; if they believe in Jesus as the son of God, that's fine by me; if they want to worship pigs, be my guest. I am no one to interfere with your religious beliefs, that's how I feel about that and I would hope others respect my choices the same way. Of course that is not likely but anyways. However, there are some peo...

How would you like to got to jail for 5 years for selling video games? You're probably thinking the games are illegal, well they are, if you are in Venezuela and the games are of violent nature. Gotta love how Chavez continues to "excersize" his powers by constantly restricting the Venezuelan people's freedoms and expanding his own powers. But as the saying goes "you get what you pay for" and the people of Venenzuela voted for him. Here's a good lesson for those who think Socialism is a great...

I was trying to post an article earlier and the program I use first failed to upload but after a second attempt it went thru. When I went to check the site it was showing the "code pigeons" error page. I just went back and it was up but not as it was before. It seems that any replies done today are currently not showing on the site. Joeuser.com has gone back in time to yesterday. Ironic since I just happen to be listening to a Star Trek Voyager episode dealing in temporal distortions, time chang...

I was hoping to yet again ask the artistic members of Wincustomize for some help with an image. I am a member of a gaming clan and would like to create an avatars for my profile. What I am looking for are some dog tags with my gaming name in it, see below for the words I would like: Brotherhood-Clan [BHC]BraveStarr www.brotherhood-clan.com Just like it is above, all 3 lines. I would like them to look metalic, like real dog tag words. Doesn't have to be perfect just good looking...

A brother of my gaming clan posted this on our forums. I thought it was a great video that is a sad truth (thru out most of the video) with a touch comedy. Good enough to share with you all. Enjoy.

A while back, I was excited that a new Call of Duty game was coming soon. Modern Warfare 2. After reading reviews on the game I found out the game was not gonna be as good as I hoped (see my own opinion on the game here ). Suffice it to say I was not happy with some of the features the game was lacking. I eventually bought the game as many of my friends (mostly my brothers and sisters in my gaming clan) were playing it and I felt left out. I can't deny that I like the game a lot but am still di...

I have a portable version of FireFox that I use at work thru my PortableApps.com menu off my portable drive. I prefer it to IE. Howevere at home I have the full install of Firefox on my onw PC. Today I was reinstalling my portable FireFox because I was having issue with it these past few weeks. My job computer was slow with little memory and a not so great processor by todays standards so Firefox combined with my job applications made for a painfully slow experience on my job computer. Now I hav...

I do a lot of Call of Duty gaming and as a member of a clan we use TeamSpeak to talk during games. We also use xFire and Steam to see who's online and plan team games. Ironically each program lacks features the other has which is a shame. While I am able to bring up the xFire and Steam UI during game play, TeamSpeak lacks this feature. I can only see who's in what TeamSpeak channel when I have no games running. By the same token, xFire and Steam lack the ability to have voice chat rooms that ...

I remember the stories about kids who would claim to be sick to avoid going to school. The movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off comes to mind. Kids would use hot water or electric heaters to raise the thermometer temp to fake a fever and such. Well, it seems that faking temperatures is not limited to kids looking for ways to miss school. It would seem that apart from all the BS data used by those claiming their was Global Warming or Climate Change; now we have the problem of external influence on s...
