When I bought my wife's laptop I took a copy of Call of Duty 4 as my incentive that I was gonna get a laptop for myself good enough to play it. Once I got my laptop I played the game and was amazed but how graphical and realistic the game is. I love being able to play with today's technology compared to the WWII weapons on Call of Duty 2. The only downside of the game was the length; I beat it in 2 days, actually less. That compared to the weeks it took me to get passed Call of Duty 2 on easy. B...
From Hilary Clinton, to Barack Obama, to Randy Roe. If I got a dime for every time Democrats say the word change, I'd make Donald Trump bank accounts look like chunk change. But when Democrats talk about change, what exactly do they mean? I mean, don't we always want change every time we are looking to vote for a new President? Even when we vote for the same person for 2 terms, don't we hope they make changes to that they didn't change the first time around? But when we say we want change, what ...
I was born and raised in this country. For as far back as I can remember I have always been proud to call myself an American (even if a Puerto Rican is an American either way). I love this country, what it stands for, what it took to make it such a great country; love, strength and sacrifice. I always have and always will thank those who worked hard to make this country the greatest country in the world (regardless what anyone else might think), those who fought and lived or died for the secu...
I was wondering if anyone here could tell me what is the best option when ordering cable Internet for you home. Is there a difference owning the cable modem as oppose to renting the model the Internet provider provides for an extra fee on the bill? Just wondering.
Believe it or not this is not another "Vista sucks" rant. Sure, my experience with Vista, so far, has not been perfect but not to that point. I am, so far, actually quite pleased with Vista. I have had a couple of issues with some games that won't work but I'm sure I will find a version that does. It just a matter of doing the research online. So, down to business. This is my baby, an HP Pavillion dv9740us. Here are the specs; PC Wizard 2008 Version 1.82 ---------------------...
A friend of my wife had bought some hamsters and eventually found herself in a position where should could not care for them anymore. My wife and I thought we could take them in as the first pets for the kids. It's been a few months now and we went from 2 to 7 and soon will be more. It turns out it's not as easy to taake care of them as we thought. We don't have the time to be taking care of such small creatures. We have already tried to give them away but i guess everyone else knew someth...
While I’m sure reckless motorcycle drivers are in abundance all across the US, Florida legislators decided it was time to make the existing punishments harsher. Rep. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, R-Miami, sponsor of the bill Offenses Committed While Operating a Motorcycle (HB 137), believes that harsher punishment for reckless motorcycle drivers could be the solution to the problem or bike riders who fly thru Florida roads and highways sometimes exceeding the speed limit by 50 or more MPH and/or d...
I have a friend that accidentally tipped over her PC. I checked it out cause she said the PC would shut down after a few minutes of being on. I found that her CPU fan, a new, pretty heave fan with heatsink, had gotten loose. I took it apart to see if there was any damage but all seemed well. Now it won't even get passed the first couple of screens before the book screen. I saw at one point it mentioned the CPU overheating. I figure it must be the lack of thermal compound since it got separate...
While I know HD TV’s have been out for a while and Blueray for a little while, I hadn’t really gone to any stores to truly see what these 2 systems can do. I’ve always been more of a PC person so I usually tend to go straight to the computer sections cause I just know I won’t be seeing any of the current selection of TV in my house any time soon. Yesterday, however, was a different day. I got out of work early and had an hour to myself before I had to pick up the kids and my wife so I deci...
It would seem that those who thought the Iraqi Gov't was not trying to unite the people of Iraq might wanna rethink their thoughts. New legislation was passed on Saturday that will allow members of the Baath Party to go back to the jobs they had lost during the so-called de-Baathification that went on in Iraq after Saddam was captured. Tens of thousands of people who thru connections with the Baath Party lost their jobs when the newly formed Iraqi Gov't began to dismiss anyone related to the ...
I was listening to the radio on my way to work, where they are playing non stop Christmas music all the way till Christmas day, and one of the DJ's asked an interesting question to the audience. Do you think Gift Cards are really gifts? According to the DJ a lady (who's name I can't remember) claims that Gift Cards are an excuse to give something because you didn't trust in your own judgment for not knowing the person well enough to know what to get them. Ouch, talk about a smack of truth in ...
I have a very interesting calender on my desk, every day it has an interesting quote. Todays quote will probably drive every Bush bashing, Bush hating person on this site. I thought I would put it out there just to see what some people on this site have to say about it. "Scientist failed their way to success - Edison tried hundreds of times before developing the light bulb; Salk failed countless times before finding the polio virus. Failure can point to success." Is it possible this ca...
Well I have finally achieved that which I thought was beyond my reach. For some time I have been working hard to fix my credit that I ruined when I was a teen. While I still have a long road ahead, I am finally showing the fruits of my labor. A few months ago I was approved for a small loan that helped me repair my wife's '94 Ford Explorer which had landed in the shop for some major repairs, repairs I could not afford. The approval of this loan gave me my first step in restoring my long lasti...
Need some help here, can't find much about this online. I was wondering if there is a way to send Midi or MP3 files to a Kyocera Strobe phone without the usb cable and software. I was wondering if I can somehow email the files and save them, or maybe some kind of service that will help me upload the files in the same manner I buy them. Any help will be appreciated. A yes with some details would be great, a no would be enough. (Duh) Thanks.
It's amazing the things one finds out about our school system every year. I often wonder why we are even bothering fighter for our freedom anymore. What freedom are we fighting for? This country is not what it used to be anymore. We do not have a culture, we do not have a race, we are not a real country. All we are is a piece of land full of people from all parts of the world and our ruler is called money. Today I just found out that my son will not celebrate Halloween in school. OK, I'm...
