Wow, I have seen some really stupid things people complain about. But this one takes the cake for me. In North Carolina, 10,000 License Plate holders will be allowed to change their plates for free after some children pointed out to their parents an interesting combination of letters on the plates that could be offensive to some people who see it. The letters "WTF" were randomly created on thousands of NC license plates, including the one on the NC DMV website sample plate. So now the text...
So, we all know that gas prices are hurting most Americans big time. From putting more than twice as much money on gas in you cars to paying more for food and other products at the store, the $4.00 average price or gas in the US is hurting both drivers and none drivers around the States. But have you ever considered how much this can also hurt children? According to a story on Foxnews, the high gas price pains most Americans are feeling are starting to affect our children as parents find them...
OK, so I have this 250 GB Western Digital Passport portable hard drive that I replaced my Sandisk Cruser 4 GB memory stick with. My memory stick has the U3 software allowing me to carry portable software I can not install on my job PC. I like using Firefox and all its featured compared to IE6. Here's my problem. I installed the Portable Apps Suite onto my WD portable drive since it basically works just like the U3 software on my Sandisk Cruser. I did this cause my drive was 250 GB compared t...
Here was this guy on the roof of a 80 story building looking around the city. When he looks down the side of the building, he sees a little red car park in front. He goes down 20 floors, looks out a window and sees the little red car but it looks bigger. He decided to go down another 20 floors, looks out another window and sees the red car bigger. Once again he goes down 20 floors, looks out a window and the car looks even bigger than before. Finally he goes all the way to the lobby, goes out th...

Within a few weeks we will have the privilege to enjoy Apple's 2nd generation iPone with added bonuses such as 3G and GPS capabilities. Not to mention the choice between a black and a white model. Apple also announced more applications for the iPhone from games to tools and even blogging. But the most interesting thing about the next generation iPhone is not it's new features but it's featured price tag. At $199 a pop for the 8 GB model, this baby is 1/3 cheaper that it's 1st generation br...
So, the 4th of July is nearly here, a day to remember how we became an independent nation. A great day in American History. So what do you plan on doing on the 4th of July? I'll be with my family, having loads of fun, cooking flame broiled burgers and chicken on the grill and setting off a few of those wanna-be fireworks we can get from the local fireworks stands or Walmart. I would like to go to the beach but am not too fond of the sun hitting me so hard and can't stand the idea of having to...
I just recently purchased a Nintendo Wii for my kids and they are loving it. I can't deny I like it too, look forward to getting myself Rockband for Wii for Xmas. While I was able to get 2 games plus a game that came with the second controller and the one on the Wii, I am sure the kids will eventually crave for new games. rather than spending $40 on new games and having to watch the kids like hawks to make sure they don't mess them up, I was thinking renting games might come in handy. Blockbuste...
This would have to be considered a strange article coming from me since I am not much of a reader. But thanks to a great wincustomize.com article by Zoomba (see link below) I found something that those of you who love books will enjoy if you have not heard of it yet. The website is called Goodreads.com. On this site you can keep track of what you have writen, what you plan on reading and even share with others what you have read. Bets of all you can checkl out what others are reading, includi...
Well, it would seem that a pattern I was hoping to break has come back to haunt me and force me to keep it alive. I have the bad reputation of moving once a year from my current living space. Usually we can't keep up with the rent or we look for a better place. At times we were moving away. This time, however, I may find myself being forced to move. Just a few weeks ago we had a visit from someone looking for the apartment landlord. We were his tenants so the guy, which I found suspicious lef...
Oh Lord, there are times I think the terrorist are correct in wanting to destroy our way of life. Some people in this country don't value the freedom we are given, they abuse it. This is the price some have to pay for privacy and ignorance. This is just one great example of how people can get away with something as horrifying as child sexual abuse for so long. Sure, they eventually get caught, but not before the damage is already done. According to a Foxnews.com story, children as young as 5 ...
Well, browsing the the www.IMDB.com website brought me to the Coming Soon list and was surprised and happy to see that The Mummy 3 was hitting theaters in August. I try to keep up with what's coming in the next year or so but there is always a movie that gets past me. It would seem that in this movie the original Egyptian Mummy was given a vacation and replaced with an evil ancient Chinese Emperor that once ruled half the world. Brandon Fraser returns as the treasure seeking, trouble finding ...
Well, I have to say I was not disappointed by the latest Marvel movie to hit the big screen. Considering I had seen the previous version of the is movie "The Hulk" and while I liked it, I believe the graphics could have used some more work. "The Incredible Hulk" however was a bit more realistic, as realistic as one can be now a days. I still have issues with Edward Norton playing the role of Bruce Banner, I just think he was too wimpy, too scrawny looking, didn't have that scientist, geek look t...
Yes, it would seem that a group of people here in the US, specifically San Fransisco, CA. apparently figured out something that neither Bush, Congress, the Senate, Obama, McCain or even other world leaders have failed to do. They found a solution to our high has price problem. It seems that groups of people in San Fransisco are doing prayer vigils at gas stations asking God to lower gas prices because they believe that at this point only God can help us now. OK? It has even been reported that...
Well maybe not exactly drill them but more like drilling off shore for, you guessed it, oil. According to Foxnews.com, Bush will appeal to Congress today to lift the off shore moratorium's to allow for drilling off our coast. Something that should have been done a long time ago. The US is the only country to have these blocks on drilling off our own coast. But the idea of drilling off our coast does not stop there. Once an strong opposer of drilling in the Gulf of mexico, Florida Gov Charlie ...
